As it is now, there are 5 boroughs in NYC: Queens, Brooklyn, Manhattan, Staten Island, and The Bronx. And in those 5 boroughs, there are at least 157 neighborhoods. From the richest ones like the Upper East Side and Greenwich Village to the more affordable neighborhoods in Brooklyn like Windsor Terrace and Crown Heights. So, why out of all the neighborhoods in NYC should you move to Long Island City? Well, let’s take a closer look.

Why do people move to Long Island City?

Long Island City is, without a doubt, one of the better places in NYC. The neighborhood has its own distinct feel and vibe, which really sets it out from the rest of NYC. So, it should come as no surprise that a lot of people consider moving here, especially once they get tired of all the hassle that living in NYC usually is. But, before you go hiring Tik Tok Moving and Storage Queens to help you move here, let us say another word or two about Long Island City.

    Location, location, location

The beauty of Long Island City is that you are 5 minutes away from Grand Central. Literally. So, if you want to get anywhere in NYC, Long Island City is a good place to start from. Mind you, driving in Long Island City can be a hassle, which is why Long Island City has its moving experts.

A small city in the middle of NYC

The main reason why people move to Long Island City is the difference in attitude. Living here truly feels like living in a small city. Your neighbors will say hi to you when walking down the street. Locals hang out together on rooftops. And there always seems to be a welcoming group of friends sitting down at your local bar or a cafe. Now, if you spent any time living in NYC, you will know that this is quite of a difference. And for most people, it is for the better. So, if you want to live in NYC but still maintain the warmers and the comfort that smaller cities provide, consider moving to Long Island City. It really is the best of both worlds.

    Excellent beer

Are you a beer lover? Then you absolutely need to move to Long Island City. This little neighborhood is the capital of beer in NYC. Just ask your local NYC movers about it. Here you have the Big Alice, Transmitter Brewing, Rockaway Brewing Company, and LIC Beer Project. Not to mention all the other breweries that seem to be popping up constantly.
