    By Maria S. | Moving | 0 comment | 23 March, 2020 | 0

We all know that moving is a hard and complicated process. There are many things to do, and time is always lacking. We don’t even need to mention that every mistake can cost a lot of money later. So, when everything goes as planned people love to reward their movers to thank them for their services additionally. There are, of course, people who don’t think that the quality of service is enough for a reward. But, let us remind you that moving scams are occurring every day and many people suffer because of that. This is why honest and reliable movers deserve this. So, here are ways to reward your movers after they do a good job.

Food is always a good reward

We think that everyone will agree that food is simply the best way to say thank you. Especially when it comes to moving assistance. Relocation requires lots of physical work, and that can leave a person hungry. So, after a long day of transporting, carrying and placing your belongings on its places you can be sure that your movers will appreciate a hot meal.

Either ask them what they would like to eat or ask their boss. Just make sure that the food arrives after all the work is done. Imagine that you have to work and look at your food getting cold before your eyes. If you’re not sure what to order, remember that you can’t go wrong with pizza. Getting food definitely should be on the list of tasks that should be completed on move-in day.

    Drinks go great with food

Yes, nothing goes as good as a slice and a cold beer. However, before you give or offer any alcohol to your movers be sure to check with their boss. Some companies don’t have problems with this while others forbid it. So, just to be sure to spare yourself from embarrassment or wasting money, check with their superiors. If they’re not okay with that, you can always treat your movers with non-alcoholic lager or a soda.

    Tipping

There are people who don’t want to have any hustle with food delivery or going to get it, but they want to show their appreciation for everything that movers have done. If you’re one of those, tipping is a great way to reward your movers after they do a good job.

How much should you tip your movers?

Well, this depends. It’s only fair to account in the amount of work that is done and the time spent doing that work. If you had a regular one day move, $20 should be enough. On the other hand, if you’re performing a long-distance move that lasts for a few days, consider tipping between $60 and $80. Especially if you have some big specialty moving items. But, at the end of the day, it’s completely up to you how will you tip your movers.
